Following his disobedience, Jonah expects to drown, but mercifully God rescues him. Jonah experiences the grace of God and praises God for not treating him as his sins deserve. As we listen today to Jonah’s prayer of thanksgiving to the God who saves we reflect on how this shapes us as God’s church.
