At St Aidan’s we believe that life is all about knowing, living, and sharing the grace of God in Jesus Christ, that includes how we use our money.
We don’t think anyone should feel pressured or forced to support a church financially, instead we encourage people to give as an outworking of the good news about Jesus. We have received so much from God, our lives are a gift from his hand, and for our salvation, he gave us his Son. And so, it is only right that in response we would desire to give towards God’s work in the world.
How much should we give? In the New Testament, there is no law, rather the command is generosity. If we truly understand the gospel, we will cheerfully give as much as we can, and even beyond our ability (2 Corinthians 8-9)!
At St Aidan’s Presbyterian this means giving to support the work of the church, it’s leaders and the community. The most helpful way our members can share in covering these costs is by giving regularly. If you would like to give toward the ministry of St Aidan’s Presbyterian, we would appreciate your support.
There are three ways to give regularly at St Aidan’s:
- Give by cash or cheque in the collection each week
- Use of dated envelopes (available at the church)
- Direct debit transfer from your bank account
You may also consider leaving a bequest to St Aidan’s for future gospel work, follow this link for further details. ‘Wills and Bequests’.
