Seeing our children grow in their love and knowledge of God is one of the great delights of church. At ten30church children stay in church for the first twenty or so minutes, during this time there is a Kids Talk, Kid’s song and prayer, for which the children are invited to gather in the front of the church.
The children then go out to the church hall where we share in fellowship in “All together time” and then split into age groups with their Kids Church leaders for their lesson. Class groups at ten30 Kids Church are as follows:
- Tiddlers (Preschool) – age 3-5
- Kindergarten – Year 2
- Year 3-4
- Year 5-6
For high school students in Year 7-9, they will have their own class for the beginning of the year, but work toward staying in church at the end of the year. The aim of is to build listening skills and help develop strategies to stay focused and get the most out of their fellowship time.
For all age groups we are using teaching material from “The Gospel Project for Kids” We encourage parents to explore the program online, or ask if you have any questions or concerns.
The Children are not dismissed from their Kids Church groups until the adults come out to morning tea. Tiddlers and K-2 need to be collected by a parent or older sibling, from the hall or Tiddler room. All of our teachers and helpers have been trained in conduct protocol ‘Breaking the silence’.
We hope and pray that your children will love coming to church and learning about God’s grace toward us in Jesus Christ. If you have any questions please contact Carin Cumberlege who oversees this ministry.
